1 Overview
This is a commonly used ultrasonic sensor that detects the presence of obstacles in front and detects the detailed distance between the sensor and the obstacle. Its principle is the same as bat flying, that is, the ultrasonic module sends out an ultrasonic signal that is very high in frequency and cannot be heard by the human body. If the signals of these ultrasonic waves hit the obstacle, they will be reflected back immediately. After receiving the returned information, the distance between the sensor and the obstacle is calculated by judging the time difference between the transmitted signal and the received signal.
The sensor is compatible with various microcontroller control boards, such as the Arduino series of microcontrollers. When using it, we provide a method for using this sensor with the Arduino series of microcontrollers.
The sensor comes with a 2.54mm anti-reverse plug white terminal. When in use, we can connect to the MCU with DuPont cable. To facilitate wiring, we specially designed an expansion board that is fully compatible with this sensor and the Arduino UNO R3 microcontroller. We only need to stack the expansion board to the UNO R3 MCU, and use a 4P double-head XH2.54 plug wire (anti-reverse) to connect to the expansion board, which is simple and convenient.
At the same time, the sensor comes with 4 3mm diameter positioning holes, which allows you to fix the sensor to other devices.
